Today we take our time to discover some beautiful new tracks that we almost missed when they just got released. Here are our flashes.
MATERIA PRIMA – FRANK RABEYROLLES
At the crossroad between visual arts and music, this new EP by Frank Rabeyrolles, Materia Prima, is a piece of art with a peculiar taste. We end up in the middle of the wilderness in a universe rich and yet minimalist. Earth slides between the artist’s hands as notes slide to our ears. Insects and birds are also among the instruments. Tracks like Joyful, Last Smoke or Silence is growing awake our senses and suddenly we’re taken into this amazing visual made of sound.

IS THIS NATURAL? – TAZIEFF
If the EP’s title, Is This Natural?, makes us curious (because it’s an excellent philosophical question and that we love it), it’s obviously Tazieff‘s musical content that really captivates us. With their pop-inspired post-punk vibes and chill rock, we feel them more vulnerable than shy, more bubbling than they first seem, and more ambitious than nostalgic. We really enjoy their pretty nice and 80s cool track, Hurry.

SURPRENDS-MOI – CHEYENNE
With Surprends-Moi, Cheyenne proposes a powerful rock album asking for our focus. We enjoy the assassins riffs as much as the catchy melodies (So Bad). The voice is strong, as is the ambition. In English or in French, the band is composed and never changes its attitude depending on the language. Quickly, we get we’re facing a real volcano, a predator ready to roar. Quand Je Danse seems to be a future live favourite. A nice discovery.
