FLASH : LORD RUBY / DES ROCS / FOSTER THE PEOPLE

One LP, two EPS, our selection of the day will make you move around your living room, I have no doubt. Rock music gets different. Check them out now. Flashes.

OLD OAK – LORD RUBY

In harmony with the season, Lord Ruby’s new album, Old Oak, isn’t cold, sad or morose. Melancholic, romantic and electric, however, this album contains all of these. And they add up to a peaceful feeling, like on the delicate White Silence or the sensual Old Oak. There’s something natural that warms up brightly, especially on powerful tracks like Dirty Boots and Kiss. With a mix up of influences, the indie rock the band offers knows no limits. And we’re glad! A small gem made in France that ought to be discovered.

THIS IS OUR LIFE – DES ROCS

Discovering Des Rocs is really like falling in love: it’s unexpected, intense, passional, sensual… it’s an affair that looks like a dangerous adventure and we’re really into it. Musically, Des Rocs is producing bangers after bangers with strong guitar riffs that we can’t live without. With his leather jacket and his shades, even at night, the filthy animal has everything of the rockstar his tracks POS, Nothing Personal and Pieces (and the others) are unveiling. The crush is massive and there is not a song we don’t put in our favourites. This is Our Life is an unmissable EP of this genre!

IN THE DARKEST OF NIGHTS, LET THE BIRDS SING – FOSTER THE PEOPLE

Foster The People’s new EP is a beacon in the night. In The Darkest of Nights, Let the Birds Sing as a nocturnal universe, sombre, illuminated with neons on The Things We Do, or by the moon on Under The Moon and Walk With a Big Stick. Glamourous disco-funk or electro pop-rock, the band is doing a lot with some effects that don’t always hit the point with us. The birds are flying away as it turns cyber. However, we do admire their musical optimism, rooted in reality, especially now.
