FLASH : MÅNESKIN / THE GREEN FLAMINGOS / TWO WEEKS IN NASHVILLE

It is time for our famous catch-up session of the month! And what a session! We’re getting into three very strong records, each of them in its own way. Flashes.

TEATRO D’IRA – VOL. 1 – MÅNESKIN

Guitars are roaring and it’s between sensuality and bestiality that Måneskin makes an impression. Getting to know them made us listen to their previous releases, including their last one Teatro d’Ira – Vol. 1, and we dived headfirst into their rock, one we love, mainly sung in Italian. The opening is obviously gripping as it is the well-known Zitti E Buoni, but it’s not the only one. We’re adoring the heartbreaking Coraline, the catchy I Wanna Be Your Slave, the inspired La Paura Del Buio… with a unique lyrical flow and a burning passion for their craft, Måneskin is just getting started.

IN THE WITCHING HOUR – THE GREEN FLAMINGOS

Within clear modernity, The Green Flamingos witchcraft is relevant and thrilling. We’re between a nightly stroll, only lit by the full moon and the blue light of our phone screen (Cold Night and City Lights), and a contemplative bright morning (Bring on the Sun), and the band is turning the night around in a jazz-folk-blues atmosphere we think classy, natural and spiritual. In The Witching Hour is charming all its audience with elegance, without the need of much addition. Just a poised voice, kind riffs… Rooted in the earth and with the head in the clouds, we’ll definitely let it enchant us.

DON’T LOOK BACK – TWO WEEKS IN NASHVILLE

While they already have a new single in their arsenal, we need to take a look back at Don’t Look Back, Two Weeks in Nashville’s EP, released last April. Obviously, it’s wild like we want it to. On the first track, Don’t Look Back, the saturation comes to grab our hearts before letting the guitars ring like they were those of British Rock greatest classic hits. Sharp, they can also show a more vulnerable side of their universe through the sober Upside Down. They’ve got the right balance and the two aspects get together in What Love Feels Like. Fiery, electric, it’s, therefore, to be listened to immediately.
