An adventure is recognized by many essential things, one of them is its soundtrack. I am not a composer and will leave any attempt to much more talented people, but I do have a perfect playlist to get in the mood for an adventure.
It’s quite a long one this month, with no less than eighteen (18) tracks in the playlist. Well, yeah, an adventure can take a while after all. And it’s a varied one too: getting motivated from the get-go with the excellent SPECIALZ by Japanese band King Gnu, you get to strut with the well-named Strut by Deer Park Avenue. Then, bring more speed with Wax Jaw, Femegades, Jaws The Shark and Shedding Velvet.
There are also some break times in our adventure. Not many, but they are important. For them, I’ve selected the Pop Doubt by Slow Pulp – and it’s a fresh breath before jumping back on our feet with Little Thief and Vonnie Kyle. And Måneskin explodes again with HONEY (ARE U COMING?) and doesn’t spare us a second more!
After a second break, ensured by The Inside Out and Alisa Stepura, the legends are back: The Rolling Stones with Angry. It’s hard to ignore their vintage yet up-to-date sound, produced by Andrew Watt. ::Shefound:: proudly follows them with an incredible tempo and the cheeky Mind Cage. Jet Black Flyers, DAYTIME TV and Black Box Revelation are filling the tank with more fantastically catchy hooks and riffs, so we can carry on on our adventure forever. Or at least for a while. Thanks folks.
And the bonus this month is a fun pop-rock track that you probably haven’t heard in a while: Goobye Mr A by The Hoosier. So… ready to depart?
