New Friday, new music, new playlist! If we’ve prepared a wonderfully satisfying playlist for the whole of November through Warming Up, here are some awesome tracks to complete the week.
And to start with a certain softness, we’ve chosen King Gnu and Satoru Iguchi’s aerial vocals on 硝子窓 Glass Window. The following two are getting on their guitars too. Anywhere But Home by Dani Hagan gets in some raw and strong energy, whilst Samantha by Nicole Sophia adds something melancholic to hers.
The dancefloor opens with the hyper addictive All In My Head by The dt’s. Bite the Blues by Casino Havana and Dizzy Ceilings by Fat Man’s Corner are bringing pure rock tracks. One is more blues-inclined, and the other is very British. Cold Weather Captains follow them with Line of Fire, a warm one with a captivating intro. Again and Again and Again by Seth Balestrieri and Shiloh June then offers a very balanced and moving song. The Oral Cigarettes are coming back in our playlist with Yellow, also a pretty moving track.
For the last track, it had to be flashy and powerful. So, it was pretty natural to turn to Captain Overboard for the closing position. It finishes it all with a cathartic and extraordinary push of energy. Tip Stevens is giving his all with this video just released before his concert at the mythical Cigale, in Paris (and it’s tomorrow).
