Haters Gonna Hate by Fat Bottomed Boys is an essential record for anybody who loves good classic glam rock. Let’s focus on this gem available on the 24th. Review.
HATERS GONNA HATE – FAT BOTTOMED BOYS
It is impossible to not mention the band that inspired the French duet. Queen is, and they mention it, their principal inspiration. Yes, we can hear it in their technique – and it goes all the way to the name of the band. But! The duet of Fat Bottomed Boys is to be recognized further than through that legacy. The original compositions are fresh, bringing back a sexy and cheeky glam rock to the stage as well as a love for classical rock built like an orchestral piece.
A touch of stoner creates Haters Gonna Hate, to which I connect immediately – an extravagant solo, some heavy riffs, a catchy chorus, there’s everything, and more. And Rock of Ages is made of the same wood. With I’m Not The One, they are bringing a balance with an epic piano ballad, powerful in another way. A touch of funk now, and it’s It Girl that becomes a hot success, ready to set the stage ablaze. And it’s through the touch of bluegrass with their collaboration with duet Secret Garden and The Dusty Man – hyperefficient and addictive, that they get a song that condensates both their universes as they meet brilliantly.
But the Fat Bottomed Boys are not staying put and, between the beautiful future classics You Want It and Moonlight Serenade, they are revealing the fun I Don’t Care (Dedicated to…). Any rock lover should be with them from start to finish, as Haters Gonna Hate by Fat Bottomed Boys is simply unmissable. And rejoice as they are going live for the release with a gig in Paris on the 23rd, and in London on the 26th of November at The Fighting Cocks. Pretty sure it’s going to be worth it.
