Like every Friday, it’s time, once again, for the playlist of the week, a rather eclectic version, always bursting with energy!
It’s up to natori to start the playlist of the week, with his wild and explosive electro-pop. SPEED is the kind of track that builds tension and it’s a real blast! Next up is the latest single from Nxdia. The artist flirts with their crush over a gritty, overdriven pop-rock track. It’s called More! it’s utterly addictive, and I can’t get enough! Things get rougher from here. Because we’re getting to know the passionate RUDE through People TBD and their punchy garage rock sound. The riffs come thick and fast, and the Italian band proves to be as catchy as they are visceral! The energy keeps rising with British band Cola Bay, who crank up the bass and go heavy with Stick Figure Family. There’s presence, power, and a few claps that’ll definitely go down a storm live!
Next, INK takes the baton, delivering powerful riffs interspersed with calmer, more mysterious moments. Their track Mr. Wall feels more narrative, more composed, and darker too, but just as promising! Shifting to a more classic sound, Howlin’ Chip lets their frustration at climate inaction boil over on the fierce Our House Is Burning. On a more optimistic note, we’ve got Guillaume Muller with the catchy Quand on n’attend rien. It’s a feel-good tune that leaves you ready to take on anything and cherish life’s small wins. Then, Sorry, Peach also enchants us with a hauntingly catchy chorus, first through dreamlike sounds, then shifting to a more pop-rock vibe on oh, good lord (he’s in my head).
We then dive into the furious pop-punk energy of The Haunt with Dead 2 Me. Their sound is both biting and captivating, blending confidence with a sense of protective anger. After that, it’s OTO MAYUMI in a duet with FURAMI on Ikigai. This J-Pop track strikes a beautiful balance in tone and vocals, reaching it to the rank of personal favourite! Now, our playlist of the week would not be complete without a few ghost stories. Enter Fionn with their tangy, punchy pop-rock track Banshee. Finally, we close out with Sleep by The Borderline with a more laid-back vibe, but still rich in vocal and guitar textures.
