With the first riffs from Shine a Little Light, it’s hard to say this new opus’ title isn’t the right one. Baring a calm attitude, The Black Keys sculpt the dynamic character of their album with a recipe we know is working every time: some blues accents, some psychedelic sounds, a solid rock base, a bit of nostalgia and groove and voilà! Yeah, ok, we admit that their style isn’t really that innovative but they’re amongst the masters of their genre. So it is with great attention that we savour every note and every chord.
