On an assured rock, and with a great entourage, The Twin Souls release their collection album, Family & Friends. Review.
FAMILY & FRIENDS – THE TWIN SOULS
If this is only the beginning, although a pretty solid one, All For You is an invitation to the dance floor that no one can pass. And when they join forces with Yarol Poupaud on Tenderly (of which they have another version later on the record), Gunnar Ellwanger on Hey Hey (also available in their solo version later on), Datcha Mandala (The One – The One I’m Looking For), and Tonio Marcos, the duet’s father (Remember), it sparks a charm. The guests are at ease, great highlight, but The Twin Souls trademark sound is leading them all.
From old-school blues like Dead End and Ch Ch Chewa doesn’t mean they’re sticking to one genre only. It’s All in You Mind and Keep Keep see them explore more modern rock sounds in their guitars. Now, was it necessary to have different versions of the same songs on the record? Well, that’s the bit I’m unsure about, or at least not in that order. However, Family & Friends is all about The Twin Souls sharing their music with them, their close ones. Inviting them to feature on them really enhances their already powerful compositions, already out on their EP. The result is a highly motivating album.
