Once again, it’s a Friday with a new playlist of the week! And once again, it’s happily that we let fascinating artists capture our souls!
Warning: avalanche of riffs, distortion and catchy melodies! That’s the forcast of your heavy playlist of the week. PABST opens it, hypnotising us with the visceral i felt all there is to feel, featuring DZ Deathrays. Deep Sleep Atlantic, dead set in keeping the spell on us, come in with the intriguing and sexy On My Knees. It’s to die for! Up next is Edgär with a more vintage touch through their synths. Beautifully catchy, Enemy is also a captivating hit that keeps us on the danceflorr for hours. TIGHT COLLAR’s guitar keeps the flame going on the intro of White Noise, right before pushing us into the band’s clear chaos.
Chaos then glides and infects Équipe de Foot. With Healing But No, the band seems reflective. Yet, the end of it, full of wild and free textures, is a most welcome cathartic shock! Some similarities are noticeable with Pick Up That Knife, by Wednesday. Here, it’s about violence, about contrast, about the need to see softness and rage coexisting. Do you still need to let something go? No worries, Helium Moth has all the energy you need with One Good Deed. Through a more classic-rock tone, we then get to discover The Wild Things with Knock Down, Drag Out. Inner demons and bright and free spirits do live together in perfect harmony in this wonderfully catchy tune!
A touch of ska, sone JPop, a lot of aura and energy and it’s a new jump. 9mm Parabellum Bullet grab our hands effortlessly as they get into their new single Odoru Hoshikuzu. And then… we’re sucked into another world with The Last Dinner Party. As enchanting and mystical as ever, with tons of contrast, they offer us This is the Killer Speaking. It’s unmissable thanks to their epic side ! Epic is also a great way to describe the siblings’ duo The Incident who are up next. Naturally then, we dive into their single Red Flag Ruby, grand and promising! To close the playlist this week, a touch of softness comes from the sublime heart and pen of Madi Diaz: Feel Something. Sounds like a callback, doesn’t it?
