The Canadian band Sum 41 is back this summer with Order In Decline. Flash.
I must admit, I wasn’t expecting to ever review a Sum 41 album, because they’ve never been amongst my ultimate favourites. However, this one had to be listened to. If you’re a fan of energetic heavy rock and pop-punk accents, well this is for you. Describing Sum 41 any other way for this opus is complicated. Let’s just add a bit of politics in the mix. The opening of Turning Away is all this and more, as mus as the solo we discover on Eat You Alive. The aesthetic is dark, almost sad at times (Never There) but mostly explosive (45 (Matter of Time), Out For Blood, The People Vs…). Perfect to jump out of bed!
