Here are a few flashes on recently released albums. We fill up with emotions, dreams and songs.
MON ÉTRANGÈRE – VALENTIN VANDER
With Mon étrangère, his new album, Valentin Vander is making us really happy. The promise is a beautiful French variety, out of time and deeply emotional. He keeps that promise from start to finish. The embroidery is made of electro music, the lace of pop and the colours are from elsewhere (L’hirondelle, feat. Léopoldine HH.), we enjoy the lyrics and the soft and calm voice of Vander fully on Verlaine and La femme de ma vie.

ALTERATIONS – ROBIN MCKELLE
Jazz covers of great songs from rock, pop and some other repertoires, that’s a great passion we have. Apparently, we share this passion with Robin Mckelle who’s going for it on her last release Alterations. Amy Winehouse, Dolly Parton, Adele, Lana Del Rey, Billie Holiday… women with unique voices and iconic emotions. Inspired, Mckelle is paying a jazz tribute to them through her own strong voice, making us shiver.

WHERE THE OCEAN BREAKS – TEEPEE
Where The Ocean Breaks by Teepee is the type of album I don’t really know how to describe anymore. Mostly because it is ideal to focus on something else while listening to it, this light music is rather positive and far from being overwhelming. Parallel world is a great example of this, acting as a wave in our mind without the sound of it hiding everything else. Simple, tender, it is an album that needs to be listened to, not describes with words.
