I’D RATHER DIE THAN LET YOU IN – THE HUNNA

The Hunna it’s when pop music meets metal before meeting autotune. And the result is surprising. The third album by the British band is named I’d Rather Die Than Let You In and has a great fluidity, despite its studied mix that can scare some. Their collaboration with Travis Baker and Josh Dunn (Twenty One Pilots) has undoubtedly helped them to reach this result, more on the rock side than their previous albums, but carrying still a great part of electro-pop music. Used with balance, some effects are well integrated, surprising but never overpowering the compositions. A good album.

YOU’VE ALWAYS BEEN HERE – THE JADED HEARTS CLUB

We must admit, we were impatiently waiting for this album by the All-Stars band The Jaded Hearts Club. You’ve Always Been Here is a collection of covers of lost or known classics of soul, R’n’B and rock music. And whose to cover them? A flock of rockstars all as impressive as the tunes they’re sharing. Singing, we get Nic Cester and Miles Kane, but also, as intro and outro of the album, Matthew Bellamy otherwise playing the bass, then Graham Coxon and Jamie Davies on guitars and Sean Payne at the drums. And that’s without naming the other guests. The result is a modern, yet timeless, and explosive rock. Do not miss it!

ESCAPE – SILENT ATTIC

With their new EP, Escape, German band Silent Attic offers a soft and deep rock. Romantics on the verge of a break up with Take My Time, they’re actually pushed by some strong guitar riffs (Cut Loose, Lights Out) and lighter and painful moments too (All Of Your Lies). Wearing their hearts on their sleeve, they really put their feelings forwards. By opening like this, we get to listen to a very generous and promising band. We got Hide Away in our favourites, and already we hope the future will hold good things for Silent Attic. Can’t wait to see what.
