Get your glitters and disco ball out. Disco’s back. This genre is an effective medicine and Sophie Ellis-Bextor has got it when, during lockdown, she got live on Instagram from her kitchen for small gig sessions, the Kitchen Discos. The result is Songs From the Kitchen Disco made with some of her greatest hits and some disco covers, like Pulp, New Order and Crying at the Discotheque (Alcazar) and My Favorite Things from The Sound of Music, making us smile more. A Greatest-hits compilation that has its place on the dancefloor!

DISCO – KYLIE MINOGUE
Don’t put away the disco ball just yet! Aussie singer Kylie Minogue, who’s far from a beginner, is back with a new album, Disco, which is well… amazingly disco. It seems that this new opus and his fitting name are proving the genre is getting a boost. With hypnotic Magic, the spacial Supernova, we are sure of it: Minogue knows how to make us move and wants to use it until morning (for the brave ones) and over the weekend (probably). Colourful and lively, we love it.

MILLIONAIRE – RADIO FLUKE
We’re (almost) completely changing the music genre with Radio Fluke. Heavy guitars and less glitter (unless you want some), we’re adding to the evening (or morning) a good moshpit so we’re exhausted, and for this, we’re using Millionaire, their new EP. With its imperfections and sharp riffs, we’re loving the garage spirit. It’s motivating. Our musical crush here is She Knows She’s Trouble, with its nice mix, some powerful chords and its nonchalant attitude. Oh Well is also highly ranked with his retro, but not disco, vibe.
