Heidi Lindahl et Nils Lassen are BlackieBlueBird. Together, with folk-rock tracks and fascinating atmospheres, they have created Grace & Gravity. A wonder that is the focus of the review of the day.
GRACE & GRAVITY – BLACKIEBLUEBIRD
What a voice! From the first notes of the romantic and heartbreaking The Morning After, it becomes impossible to not fall for the incredible voice of Heidi Lindahl. With composer Nils Laseen, they have formed BlackieBlueBird. Their new album Grace & Gravity is a succession of sweet delicacies and all sorts of deep love, whether they are lost, weak, torn, bright, passionate, blurry, or pure. Mesmerized fits its name and lets itself be hypnotic. The acceptance buried in the sweet sorrow of The Love We Once Knew finds something warm in its guitars and something profoundly hurt in its lyrics. An absolutely astounding bittersweet feeling lingers here, and again along the whole record. Again, it’s found in the well-thought-of I Can’t Stop Drinking About You, in which the lyrics have a delicate and warm rhythm. Simply superb.
The guitars on Tired Hangs the Head also get that tireless and gentle bittersweetness. From start to finish, Grace & Gravity is a wonder of an album, technically and emotionally. An unmissable in its genre.
