Singer-songwriter Sacha Mullin releases a fresh, bold, and in love with music-itself third solo album: Casino Wilderness Period. Review.
CASINO WILDERNESS PERIOD – SACHA MULLIN
With additional vocals by Emily Bindiger, Judi Vinar, Annmarie Cullen, and Mem Nahadr, Sacha Mullin is superbly surrounded for his third opus. Basses and pianos offer an ideal canvas where the vocals paint together, respond, contrast, and amplify one another. If Waves dives into a contemplative pop, made for a seaside stroll, Thanks jumps into jazz with all its heart and soul. And it’s as charming as the elegant Neptune In The Snow.
Then, Margaret turns towards an epic disco-pop with its powerful piano and intoxicating vocals. Mournful and yet bright, the song lets emotions speak for themselves without ever affecting the intricate technique. Fiberglass grows with each new spin and Telepathy summons a new riviera. Its freshness pushes it as the perfect classic R’n’B track to invoke a holiday feeling. Window Out ends it all beautifully with a grand cinematographic flare. Sacha Mullin’s piece, Casino Wilderness Period, is achieved. A passionately colourful success.
