From Rouen, Intrusive Thoughts raises many questions through the devastating Dysphorie. Don’t wait any longer to devour this record! Review.
DYSPHORIE – INTRUSIVE THOUGHTS
Well, by touching on depression and anxiety, it seems obvious that the band doesn’t want to create the next summer hit… although Hey ! could actually prove the opposite with its clarity. But overall, it resonates with many of us. These themes are inspiring, and we often relate quickly with them – because we know these mental states ourselves or through a loved one. Мерзост takes a more melancholic tone to match it, without dimming the power of their torn riffs. The Sphere touches on the vicious circle of depression through life-saving energy. It’s the kind of song that gives birth to great mosh pits! The Pill is also there with its ideally chaotic ending. And the instrumental Concerto goes on with its infernal energy!
Mad bass lines, dirty guitars, passionate vocals that never hesitate to tear up their notes… NootNoot sums up what the band’s spirit is so far. With Five Times up next, they also manage to surprise us – positively. It comes in contrast with its soft and quiet intro… before the storm, of course. Morning Fever ups the pressure, and the record ends with the intoxicating Sour. So, yes, with Dysphorie, Intrusive Thoughts signs a pretty dark record. But it’s easy to jump back into it! The band is definitely promising. Don’t wait any longer and listen to this cathartic album!
