And here we are with the fiftieth playlist of the week for 2024! The end of the series is approaching quickly, so let’s pack in some more vibrant tracks!

Ok. Let’s start with a clear, political, and enraged message I share with Schlaasss. Travail Famille Connasse doesn’t hide its meaning in the lyrics and its stripped-back yet striking production, I love it! Up next is another feminist anthem with 18 Fevers and their fiery punk on Just A Nipple – simple, effective, and straight to the point. Coal Noir joins the lineup with Who Can Say?, whose video is as gripping as this debut single strikes strong. After so much energy, I felt like doubling down with Immobile by Ada Oda, a little gem – this time in Italian. This week, the playlist is raging… but there’s more.

For the next section, we’re seeking beauty, positivity, and spirituality, while still keeping some sharp riffs in the productions. Enter Powers and the People with Wounded Healer and their lit, hypnotic soundscape. Baby Said follows with ease and signature boldness, delivering a perfectly catchy melody on Sweet Talk. Then comes Gabrielle Ornate with an epic rock track and stunning orchestral arrangements in the powerful Haunted Earth – an absolute banger! Blue Window lightens the mood with a touch of humour and a lovely energy on Weed Thief.

The final section of the playlist of the week features a major shift in tone with Slim Paul. He delivers assured blues vibes and a deep voice on Tomorrow’s Nest. Camille Schmidt with Stanley is next, a bit poppier, with a clearer vocal and keeping up with lovely chords. We stick to the pop vein then with Monotronic, putting us on our feet with Looking Away.
