It’s Friday, and before heading off for the weekend, it’s time to stock up on great tracks with the playlist of the week!
The Haunt kicks things off with the sexy, biting, and powerful Claws, which can make you want to get shredded by their razor-sharp sound! As often, the playlist of the week starts with a good dose of cathartic energy. Coal Noir follows with a track just as gripping and incredibly empowering, taken from their upcoming record, Worthy. We’ll definitely be talking about it again! Just behind, here’s Noroy and Paul Ivory with their track Desert, which is particularly well-named. It’s easy to imagine Vash The Stampede meeting Billy The Kid on this soundtrack! Chloe Slater then storms in with her new track, the ultra-catchy pop-rock Sucker which doesn’t hold back on calling things as they are!
In a different style, with a similar depth and blend of genres, we find Duckwrth with the hypnotic Toxic Romantic. A love story full of poison yet still accessible and addictive. Next up is the return of Deluxe with the fascinating Michael, featuring a dreamy intro and a sharp, anxious, and sincere flow. Optimism makes a comeback with OK Go teaming up with Ben Harper, Shalyah Fearing, and Beginners on their new track A Good, Good Day At Last. This is the fun and light-hearted moment of the playlist this week, accompanied by an exclusive video from studio TRÜF! With a psychedelic touch this time, and still with a laid-back vibe, it’s the return of Tea Eater with the intriguing Little White Dog (In a Gated Community)—an absolute must!
In a very groovy indie rock, yet just as soft, here comes Yuna Hawks with Drifting Away. A hushed track that doesn’t hold its energy back when reaching its turning point. Then, we dive into a mysterious thriller-like atmosphere as Oh Hazar makes their basslines and clear vocals resonate on The Best. Electrifying! Even more softness follows, with the emotional Shoebox by the Portuguese band Safari Zone. Its progression is chilling, understated, and inspired by echoes of the ‘90s and ‘00s—an incredible discovery! Finally, this week’s playlist ends on a melancholic note, thanks to the humane and sincere atmosphere of Blizz Club with LITTLE BIRD..
