Oswald Slain have recently unveiled their debut EP KISS ME ON THE MOUTH, and you don’t want to miss it! Review.
KISS ME ON THE MOUTH – OSWALD SLAIN
Road Runner, which follows, leans more into surf rock and offers a melody that’s both infectious and radiant. There’s something comfortable about it, energising yet calm. That same feeling carries over into Mystery Bag. A hint of anxiety creeps into certain arrangements and riffs, but the chorus becomes a friend you can fully trust. Amid the chaos, the vocals become a steady anchor, grounding and, again, really comforting.
Oswald Slain also delve into deeper sounds, completing their retro-modern rock blend. This is particularly felt in the bass of the title track Kiss Me On The Mouth. Darker in tone as well, its progression is as impressive as its sincerity. To me, it’s a banger! Finally, with Baby Boy, the band shows they’re capable of much gentler, pop-leaning sounds thanks to twinkling piano and, this time, acoustic guitars. KISS ME ON THE MOUTH is a well-rounded EP in its genre and, above all, a very promising start for Oswald Slain. Can’t wait to hear what’s next!
