We’re taking some time in the living room, ideally with the sun shining inside the room, a Dalgona coffee (with a recipe by our friend Shoot de Tout) or a lemon-and-water to enjoy. We just need some music. And the good thing is, we have some. Flashes.
ROOM – THE FEATHER
If we can believe that The Feather is the type of artist to be in a quiet alt-pop form, Room gets some beautiful titles to prove us wrong. Sister and Stay Up are particularly catchy and bright. And then, there are some idyllic tracks that confirm our idea of The Feather being a soft and quiet presence with Higher and Is It Enough To Try. It is in his voice that we get that feeling. The light echoes are getting high and move like smoke volutes and get mixed to either electric or soft rhythms. Depending on our mindset, we feel more sensitive to one or the other, only lulled by the waves of his talent. Not to be missed.

VOODOO SONIC THE TRILOGY PART. 2 – PAROV STELAR
If our grand favourite for the first part of his new trilogy was Go Wake Up, the second part of Voodoo Sonic by Parov Stelar doesn’t live us indifferent. A bit less sang than the first part and focused more on the instruments with Brass Devil and Piano Boy, the presence of Lilja Bloom, already there on the first part, is very satisfying, mostly for the superb pop track Don’t You Forget, featuring Anduze. Powerful, we’re left speechless for some time. A beautiful EP that elevates us and never fails to make us shiver a little. Available now.

VOL. II – AMARULA CAFÉ CLUB
If Vol. II signs the will to continue the pursuit of the perfect note by the band, for us it means we’re there to discovery in all this length Amarula Café Club’s universe. In a mix of styles (pop, rock, rap, house) and languages (between English, Malagasy, Spanish and French), the band has mastered the words. A deep and warm voice, swaying rhythms and we feel like floating in a thick and indestructible bubble. Comfortable, solid, yet light, that bubble gets higher and higher, offering us a perfect view on a small part of the band’s universe through tracks like O’de or Amarillo. Magnificent from start to finish.
