Two EPs and one album just reviewed to discover today in our small flash. Colours sometimes speak, sometimes sing. It was hard to do without the metaphor with them. Flashes.
TOUT ÇA POUR ÇA – GAÉTAN NONCHALANT
Like soap bubbles coming from a hot bath, Gaétan Nonchalant’s melodies are filled with tranquillity, laughter and relaxation. They run along the walls, reflect colours we couldn’t see before and unveil beautiful and fun words about life, love and even work (Gagner son pain). With a slight echo, that goes as far as the seventies and Japan sometimes, Nonchalant offers nice lessons. Tout ça pour ça (all this for that we could translate) is a nice EP in high definition with pastel colours and relaxed. It deserves all the attention we have.

SÊWA – GUINEA MUSIC ALL STARS
If we need more colours (and it is always the case), we get a refill of technicolour with Moh! Kouyaté’s new project, accompanied by the great Petit Kandia and Sekouba Bambino: Guinea Music All Stars. This superb EP takes us to Guinea with every chord from their voices or their guitars. The warm arrangements on Sêwa, the roots and richness of Koun feko, the politic and poetic strength of Clandestine, and the positive emotions coming from Anou Dejli form this first reassuring, powerful and deep EP Sêwa. A band to follow.

PARCELLE BRILLANTE – ORWELL
In a world formed of French variety and light pop, Orwell are getting their album to look exactly like they intended it to, a bright parcel, Parcelle Brillante. Full of lightness and poetic stories, we get from a track to another gliding on the surface. The waves formed by strings that come and goes get us through the tunes pull us under the water without any violence. Everything is soft until we get here a jazz influence, there a spark of pop, or here a bass influenced by funk. The voice is balanced, in a kind of altitude and composed for a brilliant effect.
