This playlist has something softer than usual in its rhythm, but not in its feelings. As we’re upcoming changes and the second season of Jujutsu Kaisen, August has been actually very rich in strong emotions and musical discovery. And strong emotions need the support of strong tracks.
It’s the round and powerful bass by Days and Nights by ĠENN that we open the ball. They are soon joined by the ones in NXKXTA’s and The Black Mariah Theater’s tracks. Hypnotic. A wonderful time for vocals too, as it’s impossible not to get attached to Annie Taylor’s, Fakers’, and Miles Kane’s.
The songs are following each other with surprising ease, between brightness and shadows. And the mood of My Grandma Says We Have No Future by Cari Cari are matching GO GO GO by Jorja Smith as well as Oblivion by Halflives – a stunning contrast bringing harmony.
Strange Flavours, Alex Stickels, The Beaches, Annie Hamilton… the energy goes up, stabilizes, and exploded. It’s a roller coaster of emotions that fits perfectly at the end of our summer. As a bonus, a legendary track by a legendary Japanese band Prono Graffitti.
