To kick off this week’s playlist, we’re heading to Tokyo to fall head over heels for the duo Pomodolo. Their track BANANA HEAD delivers direct, modern rock that’s ultra-catchy and promising—a must-listen! Featuring sharp, crisp riffs and an equally infectious rhythm, we move on to Afternoon In The Park with their track Destination. They’re pros at igniting the dancefloor! Then, things heat up even more with Salah Khaïli and Eric D Larsen’s almost-too-short Faster Than The Wind. It’s a track that lives up to its name and deserves to be played on repeat! A bit darker yet just as deep, next up is Zombina & The Skeletones with the hauntingly classic No Wonder I’m Always Anxious.
But there’s an even more menacing atmosphere ahead with half in love collaborating with MACBEFFI on eggshells. Full of tension, the track is still luminous and hopeful. Keeping similar textures but with a bolder attitude, Güner Künier hits the mark with Cash Cash Exercise. These two electro-infused gems lead into the stylish rock of 111, returning with the urgent and addictive Oh Wow! No Fancy slows down the playlist’s frenetic pace with Ache, a tender, personal track featuring beautifully textured production.
Then, Dan Millson invites us on a spiritual journey with Saint Peter, blending garage and blues while pondering his sins over a devilishly captivating sound—what’s not to love? Annelise LeCheminant’s Rain In The Desert naturally follows, pairing garage textures with a clear voice that creates the perfect contrast. A touch of humour comes next with Frank-Einstein’s pop-punk track Dolphin Trainer, which soothes heartbreak in the most energetic way—a great introduction to the band. The playlist of the week concludes with Bad Flamingo. The mystical duo we adore presents the stunning Frying Pan, staying true to their signature desert style that suits them so well!
