When I think of November, I think of light decorations in town, getting ready for the holidays, and, mainly cold, rain and wind. Well, apart from a couple of exceptions. That’s where I am, and probably you too. Basically, we need to warm ourselves up – so we would need the November playlist to do that.
Great news, I got just that this month. And it’s full of crazy tunes – of course, because, like sugars, crazy tunes are addictive. It all starts with a bang, as Venus Grrrls are playing HEX – a power rock that casts a spell on its first note. A band to keep an eye on.
And to keep warm, is there a better idea than Quicksand? And I mean the track by FloodHounds of course – very convincing. Femegades is back with What is Yours is Mine, taking what’s theirs: everything – and with such riffs, we agree. 0stella also wants her share, and we agree again as we listen to Easy to Keep. With impeccable vocals and catchy riffs, it’s definitely a keep.
Clément Pégard rushes in with his great admiration for the unique Jimi on his track HENDRIX and more. Be careful not to overheat! Black Hat serves How I Won the War, in a sulfurous manner. No Medication by Little Odetta will not help take the fever down – not with such a phenomenal voice.
Feelin’ Good Ain’t Cheap by The Bullseyes and FREEDOM by Natalie Clark are adjusting the temperature to avoid overheating – for real this time – and it’s great. The Dirty Shirts are getting very glam and 70s with Midnight Casanova. NOBRO sets the mosh-pit on fire with Who The Hell Am I? and at this point, we’re like Cassidy Marie – a Hot Mess.
Of Course by Kate Von Heart makes us spin. NOISE breaks the air with the guitars on Victor. And Ride by The Boneheads are keeping it up with their wonderful warm and catchy blues-rock. If the sun sets in the desert, it’s not cold yet. The Sun Sets Slowly in the West by Safari Inn gets the playlist to its end. And if the sun sets, the night arises. The bonus this month is Because the Night by Patti Smith – still a way to keep warm.
